LOCAL LEAGUE REGULATIONS

For BWM Combo Doubles

Women – 2008

 

 

All USTA League Tennis Regulations, Southern League Tennis Regulations, Louisiana USTA League Tennis Regulations, and Local Women’s League Regulations in 1.00 General, 2.00 Grievance Procedures, and Southern BMW Combo Regulations shall apply to the BMW Combo Doubles League with the modifications allowed to the BMW Combo League listed below.

            1.04C(2)  The 2008 Louisiana league year enrollment fees are as follows:

            Adult BMW Combo   $3.00 USTA + $10.00 LTA + $8.00 Local = $21.00

            Senior BMW Combo  $3.00 USTA + $5.00 LTA = $5.00 Local = $13.00

            Super Senior BMW Combo   $3.00 USTA + $5.00 LTA = $8.00

 

7.00 ADULT BMW COMBO DOUBLES

  7.01C  Team captains must create their team and register a minimum of six (6) players on TennisLink by 8/11/08 for Adult and by 8/22/08 for Seniors.  Deadline to add players for Adult is 10/12/08 and for Seniors is 10/17/08.  State Tournament dates for Adult are 11/07-11/10 in New Orleans, and for Seniors are 11/14-11/16 in Monroe.

  Adult and Senior Combo Doubles players must play at least one local match in order to advance to State Championships.

7.01G  Scoring.   Scoring is best 2 out of 3 sets, with the third set being a match tiebreak instead of a full set.  [Match tiebreak = First team to 10 points by 2 point lead.]

7.01H  Competition Format.

   7.01H(2)  Each team match shall consist of three doubles courts.   Scoring is best of 3 sets, with the third set being a 10-point match tiebreak set rather than a full set.  The match tiebreak set is first team to 10 points, winning by 2.  Teams shall play on court surfaces as assigned by the club/park.

7.02 PROGRESSION

   See Local Women’s League Rules, with the following modification:

When a level must be split into two or more divisions for scheduling purposes, each division winner will progress to the State Championships.  Should a third spot at the State Championships be given to a level that has been split into only two divisions, the third spot will be awarded to the team with the next best win-loss record.  There will be no time for sched
