COMMITTEES

GRANT/SPONSORSHIP/FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: Kyli Lassalle, Chairman. Members: Bill Phillips, Toby Dore.

Responsible for the preparation of and compliance with the grant application process, the fostering of sponsorship for the organization and its functions, and outside fundraising. The committee is responsible in whole for seeing that funds are appropriated for the ACTA so that all of its community goals can be achieved.

TOURNAMENT/SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE: Lauren Bourgeois, Chairman. Members: Jan Angelle, Teri Bethea.

Responsible for coordinating any tournaments, rallies, and community events being held or sponsored by ACTA.

DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE: April Fontana, Chairman. Members: Michelle Howell, Chad Hebert.

Responsible for grass roots development of tennis in the community. Includes Junior, Adult, and Wheelchair porgrams for introducing new players to the game. Also includes development of Junior Team Tennis programs.

USA LEAGUE TENNIS COMMITTEE: Kathi Bordlee, Chairman. Members: Keith Sibille, Judy Edington, Wayne Robideaux, Vicki Poole.

Resposible for the organization, promotion, and implementation of USA League Tennis in the community. Includes Men's, Women's, Combo, and Mixed Doubles leagues for adults and seniors.

PUBLICITY/WEB SITE COMMITTEE: Alicia Burleigh, Chairman. Members: Ginger Hebert, Lisa Desforges.

Responsible for coordinating effots to assure the public is kept aware of programs, resources, events, and opportunities available to them in the tennis community.

MULTI-CULTURAL COMMITTEE: Rodney Pradier, Chairman. Members: Sheila Clay, Byron Rides, Pat Andrus, Curits Hollinger.

To ensure all cultures within the Acadiana area are encouraged and supported by the tennis community. Initial goals are to create junior team tennis league throughout the area through the schools and public parks, and to encourage adult inclusion in league play.
